May 2008

*Friday, May 2: Day Camp at Wayland Middle School, Wayland, MI.

*Fri-Sun, May 2 - 4: Spring Muster at Bowen's Mills, MI.

Tuesday, May 6, 7 PM: General membership meeting in the "Freedom Room," part of the N.C.O. Club (the building behind the Grand Valley Armory in Wyoming).

Saturday, May 10: Tulip Time Parade in Holland, MI.  Meet at 1 PM at Dan Penny's house.

*Fri - Sun, May 16 - 18: Reenactment at Niles, MI.  (First Michigan Infantry event)

*Mon, May 26, 10 AM: Color guard and firing squad at Cascade Township Library.

*Mon, May 26, 1 PM: Open House at Jenison Museum.  We will be window dressing.

*Fri, May 30, 7 PM: Parade in Grand Rapids, MI.  Meet on Ottawa under the Michigan Avenue overpass.  Be prepared to fire volleys.

June 2008

Fri - Sun, June 13 - 15: Reenactment at Billie Creek Village, Rockville, IN.  www.billiecreek.org.

*Fri - Sun, June 20 - 22: Reenactment at Calhoun County Fairgrounds, Marshall, MI.

Fri - Sun, June 27 - 29: 145th Anniversary Reenactment of Gettysburg, PA.  Public battles at 11 AM on Saturday and Sunday.  Private battle Saturday at dusk.  Registration is $25 until 2/16, $30 until 4/26, $35 afterwards.  www.wmhf.org.

July 2008

Wednesday, July 2, 11 AM: Dedication of Custer Monument at Hunterstown, PA.

Fri - Sun, July 4 - 6: 145th Anniversary Reenactment of Gettysburg at Redding Farm, Table Rock Road (northwest of town).  Registration is $20 through 3/15, no registration or walk-ons thereafter.  The Cumberland Guard is going.  www.gettysburgreenactment.com

Tuesday, July 8, 7 PM:  General membership meeting in the "Freedom Room," part of the N.C.O. Club (the building behind the Grand Valley Armory in Wyoming).  One week later than our normal meeting date.

*Fri - Sun, July 18-20: Reenactment at Charlton Park near Middleville, MI.  Battery D and 7th Michigan are cosponsors. 

Thurs - Sat, July 31-Aug 1: Heritage Village in Sidney on the campus of Montcalm Community College. Call Cathy Benson for more info.

August 2008

Tuesday, Aug 5, 7 PM: General membership meeting in the "Freedom Room," part of the N.C.O. Club (the building behind the Grand Valley Armory in Wyoming).  One week later than our normal meeting date.

*Fri - Sun, Aug 22 - 24: Reenactment at Cascades Park, Jackson, MI.  Largest event in Michigan with large sutler's row.
